Teacher Appreciation Week

I'm linking this post up with the amazing Caught in the Middle Blog - it's her first linky party!  (You should participate!  And in mine too! heehee!)

Teacher Appreciation Week is always a mellow affair in our school district.  We get a small thank you token in our box a few mornings during the week, but it's sorta terrible that it's not publicized more!!

Our Principal went out and bought the entire staff (and I mean EVERYONE) a brand new staff work shirt that we wear on Fridays.  It's a really nice present that I really appreciate because it's SO nice not to worry about what I'm going to wear on Friday morning!

How was your teacher appreciation week?!

  1. Thank you for your comment! I'm following you now too! That is AWESOME about the tshirts! I agree that it is fantastic not to worry about what you are wearing on Fridays. Where are you in California? I grew up (until fourth grade) in San Diego!

  2. @Melissa

I grew up and stayed in Rancho Cucamonga and teach in a nearby school district that I am afraid to mention due to the general craziness of the district!

Our shirts are VERY nice. I'm going to wear mine tomorrow night for our Open House too!

  3. That is awesome! We only have Open House at the beginning of the year, I wish we had it twice!

Sadly, I am not a huge hockey fan...but it doesn't mean we aren't long lost sisters! :)

  9. Live in Louisiana and our administration and PTA treated us with a crawfish boil after school on Wednesday!! So fun and appreciated. Had something everyday, but that was the highlight.
