I just wanted to direct and have everyone welcome my good friend, Ms. Middle School ODC and her brand new blog - Middle School OCD!
http://middleschoolocd.blogspot.com/
Let me tell you... Her room is a sparkling vision of cleanliness and organization.
I know that it's going to be full of all her awesome ideas and strategies. When I was just starting out as a terrified new teacher 7 years ago, my principal sent me over to her room on how to organize my teaching life. I vividly remember her handing me two highlighters (pink and yellow) and helping me set up my long term plans. I would go and visit about twice a week from then on out.
I was lucky to be her neighbor for four years before I got stuck moving my classroom all over school. Maybe, if I'm lucky... I can get my old room back next to hers next year.
(Did I mention that I'm moving AGAIN this year? Yep. I'll be posting my middle school packing tips soon. 4 moves in two years? I'm just about a pro.)
So anyway - please go by and welcome her to the world of blogging! Especially my Middle School friends... our Middle School blogs are a special group!
Just went over for a visit and clicked to follow you as well. So nice of you to help her get started. :) As a new blogger myself, I know we need lots of support.

Finding JOY in 6th Grade
So good to hear from you Kim :) I know I have to be more active back in blogging land. Teaching computers... I didn't have as much to talk about.
DeleteBut, since I think I'll be back in 7th grade ELA next year - I'll have more to say!
And I'm helping Ms. Middle OCD get that follower box set up too!

Lauren:
ReplyDeleteCan you ask your friend to a follower box?
Sounds like a place I'd visit often!

I've moved every single year I've been teaching, so I keep everything in ready-to-move mode. Someday, I hope I will have a "forever classroom."
ReplyDeleteThat's so hard to do! I'm hoping you get a "forever classroom" too. It's nice to have a place that's yours that you don't have to worry about.
