CHAMPS Bulletin Board

Over the past few days, I've stumbled upon the idea of CHAMPS by Randy Sprick.  It's such a great idea that I couldn't help but start reading everything I could find AND making a printable that I could put up in my classroom!

CHAMPS is a strategy that promotes POSITIVE classroom environments - remember my post about kindness?  Yep, it's all coming together now!  The letters stand for:

C - Conversation
H - Help
A - Activity
M - Movement
P - Participation
S - Success

I'm planning on reading as much as I can about how to run this in my class online and then implementing the new system with my NEW elective kids starting when we return in January.

Does anyone out there actively use CHAMPS in their classroom?  I'm thinking it's going to be a great fit in my elective class, because my behavior expectations varies widely as we do different things.  (Like, right now... I'm busy in the woodshop on the BAND SAW cutting CO2 cars.  I still have TEN fingers - go me!  It's a different world from when we're writing stories on MS Word.)

I just put my bulletin board up on Teacher's Notebook and TpT.  I will give away a copy FREE to the first commenter with their e-mail address!

  1. Hi LIMS!

I started reading about CHAMPS last year. It has some awesome components. I just never had the time to pull it all together. Maybe I will catch some motivation from you!

I would be happy to get your stuff on TpT. You can treat the next poster to your generous freebie.

    Sending you good luck wishes...
