Super Sale and February Currently!

I just wanted to announce that I'm going to be taking part of the Super Sale over at Teachers Pay Teachers this Sunday!

There will be lots and lots of teacher bloggers taking part of the sale!  So head on over and buy our stuff!  {end of shameless plug}

Now, on to the February Currently!!  I'm linking up with Farley to participate and I'm kinda excited because...  it looks like I'll be in the top 50 people posting!  I'm usually at like person 200 and something linking up!

{Edited -- #24 people!  I am on TOP of things!}

So, yeah... I obviously get joys out of the little things in life.

My poor boy - came down with a fever and a cough last night.  I feel so bad for him, but he does have it made.  He's currently chilling on the couch with a Jake and the Neverland Pirate blanket, his teddy and my iPad to watch Netflix.

Moving on...  to Pet Peeves.

My pet peeve??  Number 1?  Grammar mistakes.  I cannot stand it.  It's NOT that difficult.  There, they're and their!  To, too and two!  Sun and Son!  ARRRRRRGHGHGH.

Yes, I have been known to whip out markers and pens to start spell-checking and grammar editing posters.

Yes, I have fixed spelling mistakes in the teachers lounge on the teacher's whiteboard.

Yes, I will go on a rampage.  I hate that I see friends I usually love on Facebook misuse these because I totally start thinking less and less of them.  Especially when you can't spell or figure things out on the computer.  What is the red dashed line for?  How can you ignore it?!  It fixes it FOR YOU FOR GOODNESS' SAKE!

Arhg.  Rant over, but you can tell... it's a pet peeve!

  2. I totally know what you mean about the "there/their/they're"! I swear every week I put them on at least one of my 6th grader's spelling lists - yet it never seems to get any better! Ugh... I'm your newest follower. :)

    1. It's tough to get a student teacher, because I'm in the elective classroom and no one really says that's what they want to teach. (At least, not right away.) Enjoy the extra help in your room!

  7. Hi Lauren!

    Found your blog via Teacher Mom of 3 and I'm your newest follower. Totally new to this world of blogging, so I'm still just finding my way around, but I have to say that I'm loving it so far. I'm a student teacher in HS right now, moving on to middle school in about 6 weeks (super excited since I feel like middle schoolers have my heart!). Can't wait to read more of your posts.
