We also have pages for middle school kids about the bubonic plague and about yellow fever (which is what they have in the Fever book). I think it's important for kids today to realize that the Black Death killed millions of people all across Asia and in Africa, as well as in Europe. http://www.historyforkids.org/learn/science/medicine/plague.htm
http://www.historyforkids.org/learn/science/medicine/yellowfever.htmKidipedehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11914916485163717780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7149716969262972471.post-82708438438115818352014-06-19T17:50:43.164-07:002014-06-19T17:50:43.164-07:00Thanks for this awesome idea~ Thanks for this awesome idea~ Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7149716969262972471.post-21412368916011083102013-06-26T18:54:24.485-07:002013-06-26T18:54:24.485-07:00Love the idea! It's all about the plague and what one character goes through because of it. There may be a great page or two worth reading aloud. And I agree that Europeans and Native Americans would be another great link.
Marion
MentoringintheMiddleAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7149716969262972471.post-13078332126875128922013-06-25T08:28:16.437-07:002013-06-25T08:28:16.437-07:00Me too! :)Me too! :)Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09281542750489998700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7149716969262972471.post-48516859324827279452013-06-25T05:47:40.802-07:002013-06-25T05:47:40.802-07:00Great idea.
